Instagram’s latest update answers one of the platform’s most requested wishes: you can now pull posts you have been tagged in directly onto your main profile grid. Until now, tagged content lived in a separate Tab where few visitors bothered to look. The change gives everyday users, creators and brands far more control over the story their profile tells.

How the New Tagged-Post Feature Works
The Tagged tab is not going away. It still houses every post other people have tagged you in. What is new is the ability to spotlight specific ones alongside your own uploads. Instagram suggests the option is handy for favourite group photos, creator collaborations and shared memories, though you are free to feature any tagged post you like.
There are several ways to do it. If you have just been tagged, you can tap “Add to grid” straight from the DM notification. You can also open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the tagged post, or press and hold a post from your Tagged tab to bring up the same option.
The Privacy Catch You Should Know
One detail is worth flagging. Adding someone else’s post to your profile does not automatically make it visible to everyone. Instagram confirms that visibility still depends on the privacy settings of both your account and the account of the person who tagged you. So a post you feature may stay hidden from followers if either profile restricts it.
Flexible, Reversible and Easy to Rearrange
If you change your mind, you can remove a tagged post from your grid without deleting the original. That makes the feature more flexible than a plain repost. By default, added posts appear in reverse-chronological order, but Instagram also lets you rearrange posts on your profile. That reordering tool arrived in June, roughly a year after it was first announced, and together with the new tagged-post option it hands users notably more command over their main profile.
Why It Matters for Creators and Brands
For influencers and businesses, the update turns the profile grid into a curated showcase rather than a selfie stream. Collaboration posts, event tags and user-generated content can now sit beside owned media, building social proof without leaving the page. It is a small quality-of-life tweak with real marketing upside.
