Garmin is edging closer to its first smart ring. A fresh Brazilian regulatory filing has surfaced ten different model numbers that appear to belong to the long-rumoured Cirqa Smart Ring, suggesting the wearable maker’s answer to Oura and Ultrahuman could arrive sooner than expected.
Ten variants point to a real product
The listing comes from Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), where Garmin registered ten mystery model numbers under a single certification. Garmin has not confirmed they are rings, but the volume of variants is telling. Smart rings ship in many sizes to fit different fingers, so ten versions makes far more sense for a ring than a watch.
A recurring model number strengthens the case
One of the listed numbers, AA5124, is the strongest clue yet. The same identifier showed up in an Indonesian filing in August attached to a product explicitly named the Cirqa Smart Ring. Seeing AA5124 again in Brazil implies the two certifications describe the same device — and that Garmin’s ring is moving through the usual pre-launch approvals.
Garmin enters a crowded field
If the Cirqa launches, it marks Garmin’s debut in the smart ring category, going head-to-head with established names like Oura and Ultrahuman. Garmin is hardly a newcomer to screen-free wearables: it shipped the similar Cirqa band earlier this year. That heritage should help it compete on health and fitness tracking, an area where Garmin already has deep data.
What we still don’t know
The filings reveal little about specs. There is no confirmed word on sensors, battery life, health features or price, and Garmin has not officially acknowledged the ring. A certification is not a launch date, so caution is warranted. Still, products usually need to clear these hurdles before they go on sale.
The ten Anatel variants and the returning AA5124 number are the clearest evidence yet that Garmin’s smart ring is real. With Oura and Ultrahuman already entrenched, the Cirqa would enter a busy market — but Garmin’s wearable pedigree makes it a credible challenger.
