The cheaper configuration keeps the parts of the Galaxy Book 6 that shape daily use. You still get a 14-inch 1,920 x 1,200 display with an anti-glare finish, a rated battery life of up to 25 hours, and 45W fast charging. Port selection is unusually complete for the price: two USB-C ports, a full-size USB-A, HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The ecosystem is the real pitch
Samsung is not trying to win on raw performance at this price. It is selling continuity. The Galaxy Book 6 shares files with other Galaxy devices, can borrow a Galaxy Tab as a second screen, and ships with software such as AI Select for grabbing on-screen content and Note Assist for summarising notes and surfacing key points. None of that is remarkable in isolation, but the cumulative effect mirrors what Apple has done for years: the laptop becomes more useful specifically because you already own the phone.
That framing is also why the comparison with Apple’s MacBook Neo only goes so far. Apple has no product at $799, so the more honest rivals are mid-range 14-inch machines from Lenovo, Asus and HP — most of which cannot offer a tablet-as-second-display trick or seamless hand-offs to a Galaxy phone.
