What Makes the Q85K-UK Different
At its core, the Q85K-UK pairs a soundbar with a wireless subwoofer in a single package, using a 7.1.2-channel layout with 16 drivers to place sound in front of, beside and above the listener. That spatial spread is what lets films, sport and games feel wrapped-around rather than flat. TCL quotes up to 1,180W of maximum audio power, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X handling the object-based height effects that push sound further into the room.

For owners of a large 4K TV who want a genuine step up in clarity and scale without building a separates-based home cinema, the Q85K-UK is one of the more interesting soundbar launches of IFA 2026. The B&O tuning and automatic room calibration are the differentiators, and the £749 ask undercuts many premium rivals. If your screen is smaller than 65 inches, the slimmer A65K is the better-sized and better-value fit.
