At its IFA showcase, Lenovo unveiled what it is calling its brightest and most powerful line-up yet, spanning serious creator machines and colourful everyday laptops. The star is the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9N, a 15-inch laptop aimed at developers and creators, joined by a more playful IdeaPad 5 range that leans hard into colour. It is a clear attempt to cover both ends of the laptop market at once.
Yoga Pro 9N leads with RTX Spark
The 15-inch Yoga Pro 9N is the most powerful model in the batch, delivering up to 80W TDP and running on Nvidia’s RTX Spark ‘super chip’. That part crams a Blackwell RTX GPU, Grace CPU and high-capacity unified memory into a single processor, so creators get desktop-class muscle in a portable body. A two-in-one Yoga Pro 9N 2-in-1 folds its keyboard away to double as a tablet and supports the new Yoga Pen Gen 2, with low latency, palm rejection, smart gestures and customisable buttons for sketching.
IdeaPad 5 brings the colour
Not everyone needs RTX Spark levels of power, and that is where the IdeaPad 5 comes in for lighter, everyday work. Lenovo leaned into design here, offering six finishes — Spicy Gold, Zen Green, Dreamy Violet, Radiant Coral, Jewel Blue and Lowkey Grey. The brand said colour was among the things it was ‘most excited about’, having partnered with the Pantone Colour Institute to analyse emerging trends for the palette. It is a welcome break from the usual sea of grey laptops.
What we still don’t know
Details are thin on the IdeaPad 5’s internals: Lenovo confirmed Intel inside but had not named the exact processor series at the time of writing. That leaves performance and pricing open questions until a fuller spec sheet lands. The Yoga Pro 9N’s availability and UK pricing were also not detailed in the announcement.
